Principal Secretary to Government Animal Sheep Husbandry, Fisheries and Transport Dr Asgar Hassan Samoon today launched an online “Laboratory Reporting Service" for displaying the results of laboratory tests conducted in all the District Disease Investigation Laboratories of Animal Husbandry Kashmir and referral laboratories of Institute of Animal Health & Biological Products, Zakura.

Speaking on the occasion Dr Samoon said that the service shall reduce the time taken by laboratory reports to reach field veterinarians with the result treatment of the animals will commence days earlier, reducing the course of the ailment and saving the farmer time and resources.

Animal Husbandry Kashmir is the first department in the state to have such a reporting system for its laboratories. The service has been developed in-house by the e-Governance Cell of the directorate.
