A comprehensive review of progress under various departmental schemes/activities was undertaken by Worthy Director AH Kashmir Ms Purnima Mittal (KAS) in a meeting held in her office chambers on 3/6/2020. The meeting was attended by all Joint Director and Deputy Director cadre officers of the department including district Chief Animal Husbandry Officers. The discussions encompassed various developmental activities of the department, and their status in view of the ensuing COVID-19 pandemic, with emphasis on efficient extension of services to livestock/animal/pet owners etc.
The following agenda points were thoroughly discussed and clear-cut instructions on implementation of programs passed by the chair:
Physical and financial achievements, Achievements under Poultry Development Programme, Implementation and achievements under Sub Mission on Agri Extension (ATMA), Dairy Entrepreneurship Development Scheme/Integrated Dairy Development Scheme, Venture Capital Fund for Poultry, Kissan Credit Cards & National Livestock Mission.
In addition, threadbare discussions on the status of FMD vaccination, ongoing works, 20th livestock census, Fodder Development activities, training of paravets etc. were held. The meeting also included a hands-on session on utilising Google Meet facilities to undertake future meetings over Internet presented by the E-Governance Section of the Directorate. Remote video conferencing initiated as per directions of the worthy Director, shall ensure proper social distancing apart from saving time and resources spent on holding meetings in-person at Directorate and Subordinate levels.
